Temporary exhibits are displayed separately from permanent exhibits and are typically displayed in the main gallery.
Some of these works of art can be kept for up to three months before being returned.

Jasper Winery began in the year 2000
when Jean and Paul Groben planted grapevines just outside of Newton.
They only relocated the winery to George Flagg Parkway in downtown Des Moines in 2008, as the business grew.

There are tasting rooms at the winery, and Visitors are permitted to sample some of the wines made from grapes and vines harvested from their various vineyards located throughout the state in these rooms.

Terrace Hill is the official residence of Iowa’s governor. It is situated on a hill overlooking downtown Des Moines and is now one of the city’s points of interest.
