There is so much to Cloudcroft city, however, I will start by letting you know that it is a village in Otero County, New Mexico, and is located within the Lincoln National Forest.

Interestingly, the arid region occupies one of the highest elevations (approximately 9,000 feet) in the United States.

One of the numerous features that lures tourists across the world to Cloudcroft is the mild temperature of the area.

7. Rim trail

Do you know that among all the hiking trails in Cloudcroft, the Rim Trail was the first U.S. Forest Service Trail in New Mexico to be announced as a National Recreation Trail?

Unlike the  Osha trail, which I earlier mentioned, the Rim trail extends farther and is 31.2 miles long.

While the slide campground is open to just hikers and is non-motorized, the rest of the trail south is being motorized for motorcycles.
